Meetups, Conferences, and Podcasts – Oh My!

It’s been a busy couple of months, so I wanted to share some things I’ve had the pleasure of working on.

Atlanta Code Camp
I’m heading back up to Atlanta to talk about JAMStack. Coding Blocks also has a booth, so come on up and say hello!

Backend Bear Podcast
Huge thanks to Marko from Backend Bear podcast for letting me prattle on about “the evershifting line between front and back end programming!”. He runs a great show, so go check it out: https://backendbear.com/

I also neglected to mention a couple meetups, thank you so much for having m!

JAMstack at Orlando Code Camp

It’s that time again! This year I’m doing a presentation on JAMstack at Orlando Code Camp.

If you are unfamiliar, JAMstack is a a methodology for building static websites that encourages rendering at build time in order to leverage all the strengths of static CDN hosting.

I think it’s a fascinating way of doing things, that while simple, has some great benefits. You should check out the talk if you are interested in front-end development, or are interested in how changes in front-end work design are influencing life in the back-end.

Oh yeah, and Coding Blocks has a booth so make sure to come say hello!

Talking about JAMstack to a bunch of Back-End Devs….

What could possibly go wrong?!

Next week I’m going to be speaking about the JAMstack at the Orlando Back-End Devs meetup.

If you are interested in front-end web development, or you are interested in what front-end trends mean for back-end development then you should come check it out!

Interested in building search driven apps?

I’ll be giving a talk at Orlando Backend Devs where I demonstrate three different apps that take advantage of highly scalable search engines like Elasticsearch. It is all about using the right tool for the job!
